Winter market goodness

Another market done and dusted! The sun came out, the Town Hall warmed up and the long weekend bought visitors from near and far. 

We had such a great day, hearing some wonderful stories...

• Customers returning to favourite stalls to pick up a few more things and even commissioning special custom pieces.
• Locals bringing friends in to the market from out of town.
• Shoppers returning to The Square wearing their purchases from previous markets (love this!).
• A stallholder whose little business is growing at such a rate she now has to hire help.
• A talented Bendigo maker with a sold out exhibition and another couple with new exhibitions on the horizon.
• Book deals!
• Some market goers coming back two or three times (!!!) during the day to soak up a bit more inspiration and decide on buying that special something.
• News of our creatives getting being offered wholesale accounts and gallery opportunities.
• A very special customer buying an armful of products to donate to a charity they're involved with. 
• One maker so happy that she was recently able to quit her fulltime job to focus on her creative business.
• Many, many, many enquiries into when the next market was and a stack of new subscribers to our email newsletters.

Absolutely amazing. We walked away from the hall so happy and inspired. Thanks :)

Winter market tomorrow!

Finally we dared look at the forecast for tomorrow: fog and then sunny! Sun!

Regardless of what the winter weather throws at us, the Town Hall will be the best place to be tomorrow. We're showing off a whole bunch of new stallholders and some popular stalls will be returning too. Click here to see the full list.

We even have a few foodie stalls too. Stop by The Vintage Baker and pick up some biccies to take home, grab a yummy chocolate truffle from Delcious Delicacies for a sugar hit and be sure to wander over to Cupcake and Cupcake...

Sneak peek: Zen Moments

Zen Moments Vintage Candles is a little business that we have been stoked to see thrive in the last couple of years and so happy they'll be joining us again on Saturday!

This stall is utterly gorgeous, with a range of hand poured & 100% natural soy wax candles in amber and clear glass bottles. An amazing variety of fragrances to choose from, so you're sure to find something that looks and smells divine! We love the amber glass bottles, which have become the Zen Moments signature piece.

Sneak peek: My Bonnie Knitwear

We love having My Bonnie Knitwear with us in the cooler seasons...

My Bonnie Knitwear is a contemporary and unique knitwear label from Castlemaine designer Bonnie Mitchell. Her specialty is luxurious, 100% merino wool scarves. Beautiful to the touch and the eye, her colour schemes are completely divine. We seriously consider these scarves a winter must-have! But they have been known to literally sell out, so get in early to avoid disappointment.

Sneak peek: Urthly Organics

A longstanding favourite stallholder to share with you today, a great local maker who has been with us right from our very first market!

Urthly Organics, Soap and skin care products always make the market smell so good whenever they're with us… Lovingly natural, organic, rustic, moisturising, soothing, revitalizing, repairing, lasting, nourishing, essential, gorgeous and handmade right here in Bendigo.

Some great Square deals for the weekend that won’t be ‘round again! (ha!) … Essential Face Cream $15.00 normally $20.00 and 3 soaps for $15.00 until stocks last.

Sneak peek: Wink & Bid

A whole lotta doily love going on at the Wink & Bid stall on Saturday... 

The girls will have their range of doily purses in stock and some gorgeous new products too. Check out the band spanking new doily cushions for $34 each or pair them up at $59 for two. And the sweet crochet cuff bangles are so sweet and beautiful!

We do love when our stallholders do special things just for The Square market goers and the Wink & Bid girls will be giving away a screen printed calico tote bag with purchases over $50. Yay! Limited stock though, so be quick.

Sneak peek: The Bear and The Whale

The Bear & The Whale is a gorgeous range of cool clothes for kids and dolls made by the talented Larissa.

At her stall on market day you'll find her ever-popular jersey dresses and gorgeous new pinafores in denim and cord. And perfect for keeping the little ones toasty warm this winter are her corduroy overalls and pants lined with soft flannelette. 

After many requests from her customers, she'll also be launching a new product for the boys with us on market day, a great half-button shirt. It's always hard to buy for little boys so we're sure these will be popular!

Sneak peek: Vintage Chenille

Another favourite returning to The Square this weekend is Vintage Chenille...

Vintage Chenille, as the name suggests, is a small handmade business insipired by anything pretty, vintage and thrifted, especially chenille. Talented sewer Leah creates the amazing range of upcycled toys, quilts, cushions and buntings that will be available for purchase on market day, this Saturday.

A new range of original lavender heat packs will be available at her stall, perfect for cosy winter nights!
