Crafting for a cause follow up - blanket project done!

Remember the 'crafting for a cause' project we did back at the September market last year? We asked you guys to donate knitted or crocheted squares that could be made into blankets for women at the  Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia...

Check it out, they're done! Thanks to the lovely Amanda in Melbourne they're completed! Yay! And a massive congratulations to Amanda, who must surely have the patience of a saint to stich all those little squares together.

Can you see your square in the blankets? I can see my three, yay :) Absolutely LOVING how they all came together.

Many, many thanks to all of you who contributed your time and stitches :) Even though the blankets are only a small thing, they're a wonderful and practical way to show the women who receive them that we care. Thank you again.

Hello 2012 :) Let's get going...

Another year is upon us! Hope you all had a great holiday season and saw in the new year in style.

We're so looking forward to another wonderful year of handmade ahead... we are making some necessary changes to the market and also planning some lovely bits and pieces for you all too. 

We always like to hear you feedback after each market, so if you have any comments or suggestions for us click on the feedback button on the left.

If you are interested in applying for a stall at the market this year, please read the updated 'info for stallholders' page linked on the left. We have made some necessary changes to our prices and stall sites. Stallholders can stay up to date with by getting our stallholder newsletter. Applications are now open for the 17th March market - click here.

If you'd like to become involved with The Square as a sponsor or like to advertise with us here on the website, please email us for a information package.
