Wow. Another fabulously busy market day is done and dusted! Thank you all for coming down and browsing the handmade goodness on offer. And of course, thanks to the wonderful bunch of stallholders who came from near and far, with smiles on their faces and cars packed to the rafters.

Wish we'd had time to take some more photos to remember the day... Just a few here. If you have any happy snaps please post them over in the flickr group or on facebook, we always love to see them.

So... on to September! We've already got some wonderful applications for stalls so i think the shopping will be wonderful. If you'd like to apply for the next market or our two day christmas market, click on the 'info for stallholders' on the left there. Look forward to hearing from you :)

Sneak peek: Dora Ruby

The very last of our sneak peek series... you'll just have to come to the market tomorrow to check out everything else that's on offer!

Dora Ruby Eco Aware clothing for women is handmade by Louise in her  home and is part of her own effort to live simply and sustainably.  Designs celebrate the beauty of the natural world. She uses fabrics that have the least harmful impact on the environment: hemp, linen, organic cotton, wool, remnants, recycled, reclaimed and repurposed fabrics.   Dora Ruby.... clothes for living, loving, having fun in ... and for a smaller global footprint.

Sneak peek: Yknot? Designs

Strictly for the stylish little people... Yknot? Designs is contemporary, stylish, age appropriate and well made clothing & accessories for girls aged 4 to 10. Each piece is made with care and love by Emma Di Stefano. The Winter 2011 range includes printed smock tops, washed charcoal denim pants with zip pocket, stretch grey & stripe long sleeve t-shirts, and a coordinated range of accessories including, cuffs, belts, necklaces, headbands & scarves.

Sneak peek: Body Parts

Completely perfect for winter... today we're previewing Body Parts, a collaboration between two crafty ladies with a wonderful ethic.

Body Parts Winter Accessories is a collaboration between crafters Gaye Naismith (of Gaye Abandon) and fellow crafter and hand-stitcher extraodinare Melanie Hill (of Textile Allsorts). Together, they have been transforming recycled, felted wool jumpers into snug, useful handmade accessories for adults and children since 2006. These ladies repurpose second-hand and remnant materials wherever possible to create their ranges, and are committed to sustainable, ethical and local production.

Sneak peek: Studio Antic

Studio Antic is a design and screen-printing studio based near Castlemaine, producing a range of stationery and fabric products. They bring a fresh look to the stationery world with luxurious velvety colour and a simplicity of design which is joyful and clean.  Every blank greeting card, gift tag, wrapping paper, book, tea towel, pencil case and cushion is printed by hand with much care and attention.

And just because, they are offering a special on market day of 5 hand printed greeting cards for $20, normally $5.50 each. Thanks guys!

Sneak peek: Bob Boutique

Hello holiday Monday! We're sharing some complete cute and quirkiness with you today...

Most of you probably know the Bob Boutique shop, located in the Shamrock building in town and bursting with unique and creative wares. The lovely Sonia, the force behind the store/gallery and completely talented designer herself, will be bringing all her cute wares to The Square. Her stall will be filled with the made in Bendigo badge sets, tote bags, sweet accessories and stationery, plus a couple of new things too!

Sneak peek: Lyrebird Pearls

Another jewellery stallholder to share with you on this sunny long weekend... Lyrebird pearls will be bringing their range to showcase at The Square from Kinglake. Established in 2010, the jewellery range celebrates the 'non-perfect' pearl while being committed to ethically sourced and expertly handcrafted materials. All sterling silver is recycled and all precious metals are purchased only from local producers.

Sneak peek: Darcey and Grace

Another lovely local for you today... Darcey & Grace is a small family business that creates a handmade range of exclusive children’s bed linen and accessories. All item are designed and made here in Bendigo from gorgeous new fabrics, focussing on both colourful and contemporary designs these wares are sure to make a bright and beautiful addition to any child's room!

Sneak peek: Mookah

We are so very pleased at the variety of stallholders we'll have for the winter market! And not only local makers, but also those that come from a little further afield to showcase their wares in Bendigo too. Today's sneak peek is independent label Mookah, based in the coastal bushland near Inverloch.

Mookah is a small label created by two sisters which offers a range of stylish, contemporary and eco-friendly home wares, textiles, accessories and a range of quirky animals. The pictures below are just a taste of their homewares, including floor cushions, tea towels, adult and children's beanbags and timber/textile lamps. These two creative ladies take inspiration from nature and love working with natural fibres such as hemp, linen and organic cotton.
